License status
The application supports two license states:
License Activated
When a valid license is activated:
- All application features are available.
- Users can create and manage projects.
- Dataset Manager functionality is enabled.
- Model Configuration settings can be modified.
- Model Training can be started and monitored.
- Model Analysis and Performance Evaluation tools are accessible.
- Export and Deployment options are enabled.
- Device Flashing functionality is available.
- Project navigation and management features are fully enabled.
- License information is displayed in the top-right status badge.
Available Information
The License Information tab displays:
- License Status
- License Edition
- Product Name
- Number of Seats
- Enabled Features
- License Expiration Information (if applicable)
Machine Binding Information
The Machine Binding tab displays:
- Machine Code
- Device Identifier
- Operating System Information
- Processor Information
The license is bound to the specific machine on which it is activated and cannot be transferred without deactivation.
License Not Activated
When no valid license is activated, eFabric operates in a restricted mode.
Available Features
The following global features remain accessible:
- Dashboard
- Global Dataset Manager
- License Management
- Application Settings and Theme Controls
- Documentation and Support Resources (To be included)
Users can browse and manage datasets through the Global Dataset Manager without activating a license.
Restricted Features
The following project-specific and advanced features are disabled until a valid license is activated:
- Project Dataset Manager
- Model Configuration
- Training Monitor
- Model Analysis
- Export & Deploy
- Device Flashing
- Project-Specific Operations
- Project Navigation Functions
Attempting to access these features without an active license will be restricted by the application.
Activating a License
To unlock all project-specific functionality:
- Open the License Management page.
- Enter a valid License Key.
- Click Activate License.
- Upon successful activation, all restricted features become available immediately.
License Deactivation
To transfer a license to another machine:
- Open the License Management page.
- Click Deactivate License.
- Confirm the deactivation request.
- The license seat will be released from the current machine.
After deactivation, all licensed application features will be disabled until a valid license is activated again.
If a license is deactivated:
- Project-specific functionality becomes unavailable.
- Global Dataset Manager remains accessible.
- Existing projects remain on disk and are not deleted.
- Users may reactivate the license at any time to regain full access.
Notes
- Internet connectivity is required for license activation and validation.
- License information is securely stored on the local machine.
- Licenses are machine-bound and cannot be shared between systems.
